Thomas the tank engine and friends welcome you to the island of Sodor. James gets too rough with the coaches. Thomas gets a chance to go fishing and finds it's not what he imagined. Thomas & Bertie stage a race around the island.

Thomas must catch a kite that is on the loose before the wind blows it away from Sodor. With Charlie, Gordon, and Toby by his side, Thomas learns that a helping hand will keep him on the right track when it comes to rescuing kites, saving a swarm of bees, and preventing a railway disaster from taking flight!
